Rehabilitation services at Sherman Oaks Health & Rehabilitation Center are designed to support recovery following illness, injury, or surgery. Our interdisciplinary therapy team works closely with nursing staff, physicians, and families to develop individualized care plans that align with each resident’s clinical needs and goals.

Therapy services are provided in accordance with physician orders and are tailored to support safe mobility, daily function, and overall quality of life.

Comprehensive Rehabilitation Care

Our rehabilitation program integrates physical, occupational, speech, and respiratory therapies as part of a coordinated care approach. Services are delivered by licensed professionals and adjusted as resident needs change throughout the recovery process.
Therapy may be provided as part of short-term rehabilitation or alongside skilled nursing care, depending on medical necessity.

Our Therapy Services

Physical Therapy (PT)

Physical therapy focuses on improving strength, balance, mobility, and endurance. Treatment plans are designed to support safe movement, reduce fall risk, and assist residents in regaining functional independence following illness, injury, or surgery.

Occupational Therapy (OT)

Occupational therapy helps residents develop or regain the skills needed for daily living activities such as dressing, grooming, eating, and safe transfers. Adaptive techniques and equipment may be introduced to support functional independence.

Speech & Language Pathology (ST)

Speech therapy addresses communication, cognition, and swallowing disorders. Services may include evaluation and treatment for speech clarity, language comprehension, memory, and safe swallowing, as clinically indicated.

Respiratory Care

Respiratory therapy services support residents with breathing-related conditions and pulmonary needs. Care is provided in coordination with medical and nursing teams and follows physician-directed treatment plans.

Coordinated, Patient-Centered Approach
